High West Distillery Inspiration Shoot

By February 2, 2018 No Comments

Our inspiration shoot at High West Distillery in Park City seeks to capture movement beyond the expected processes of distillation. Chad and Jared join our talented creative team to elicit ethereal romance in an industrial setting.

In a raw, industrious space like the High West Distillery, it’s difficult to imagine an elicited warmth. We’re not speaking of the High West Saloon off Main Street, which needn’t any proof. Here, however, there is an indescribable expectancy, a collective, cultural voice, lining the distillery’s walls. Between barrels, there’s a history, a symbolism, and a sense of belonging to its home, Park City.

Partnering with an incredible team, we sought to create a design that captured movement outside the realm of the distillation process. Moving from synonymous posing, we utilized the distillery’s grounds in full. Cactus & Tropicals helped take advantage of the gleaming stills at the back of the property, by setting the stage for the ceremony with their plant rentals; Retro Rentals and All Out Event Rental allowed us to create a simple and captivating cocktail reception space, in an adjacent field; while Decoration Inc. added romance to the dinner scene with a spectacular floral display, brought to light by Alliant Audio Visual’s custom LED installation.

Every vendor came together to really show their skills for this shoot, which culminated in the piece de resistance: the dinner reception design. Converting the property’s barrel aging room into a dining room was no easy feat, but it certainly made for a picturesque display. The main dining table by Sticks and Stones; adorned with tableware from Borrowed Blu and stationary by Atelier Azure was beautifully complemented not only by the tabletop florals but also by an emotive, asymmetrical and cloud-like chandelier by Decoration Inc that was suspended from the high ceilings.

Chad and Jared, our talented models, communicated with ease the underlying, untouched romance of the space. Overall, the shoot elicited a sense of mastery over the space and was beautifully captured by Pepper Nix Photography. Blue Sky Ranch offset the midcentury-inspired distillery space with optimistic modernism, breathing life into each other’s spaces respectively. It was an honor to work with the esteemed creative partners that brought this vision to life, and we’re eternally grateful for their dedication and creativity.
